Please...
1.Put the blog hop button (under construction) at the top of your post (currently being designed) and link it back to the main blog hop page on the SFR Brigade blog @ http://sfrcontests.blogspot.com/2013/06/the-2nd-sfr-brigade-midsummer-blog-hop.html (this will not be active until the event)
2.Keep your post short(ish) and related to the theme. This year we're going for Out of this World, where you can discuss or describe your favourite alien setting, either in one of your books or in someone else's. Or you could talk about world building, creating an alien civilisation, or perhaps a character's first landing on an alien planet. Post excerpts if you wish. Go wild!
3.Feel free to include sales links, blurbs, booktrailers etc. but bear in mind the longer your post is, the more likely visitors are going to skip over it.
4.Include the details of the grand prize (TBA) and make it clear to participants that entry to the grand prize is via rafflecopter, the html code for which is here and must be included in your post. How you choose the entry method for your own prize (if you offer one) is entirely up to you, but make it clear!

<script src="//d12vno17mo87cx.cloudfront.net/embed/rafl/cptr.js"></script>
5.Include the html code below for the inlinkz tool so that your visitors can easily navigate to the next blog on the list. If you have WordPress and/or have a problem with the code, let me know. When I email out details for the hop, I'll include html codes for problematic blogs.
<!-- start InLinkz script -->
<script type="text/javascript">
document.write('<script type="text/javascript" src=http://www.inlinkz.com/cs.php?id=266114&' + new Date().getTime() + '"><\/script>');</script>
<!-- end InLinkz script -->
6.Please Tweet, Google+ and share the links to the Blog Hop to encourage visitors. Blog before the day. The more we all spread the news, the more visitors we'll draw. Please promote the event anywhere and everywhere that you can.
7.Please don't make visitors jump through hoops to enter the contest. If you really want them to sign up to your news letter etc that's your choice, but let's make it as easy as possible.
Update - time zones. The blog hop will go live on the SFR Brigade blog at 00.01 on the 21st June. The UK is eight hours ahead which means the hop will start at 08.01 on the 21st for UK members and finish at 07.59 on the 25th. Australia (Sydney) is ten hours ahead of the UK, so it will start at 18.01 on the 21st and finish at 17.59 on the 25th. I'll be checking links an hour after the hop starts and try to give people a warning if their post isn't live at that time. After the hop finishes, each participant will need to choose and announce their winner (in your own time by all means!) and I'll choose a grand winner overall, although this may take some time! The grand winner(s) will be announced on this blog, but if you could post that along with the announcement of your individual winner, that would be a bonus. :)
Blog Hop Button - if you can't download/copy the button, I can either email the image to you or I will post a URL for it (the button is still under construction at the moment). Emails regarding the blog hop should be sent to sfrbrigadebloghop at gmail dot com

Is it June 22nd PST or EST American time? I'm in PST time zone and don't want to be late...LOL, for a very important date!
Crikey, does anyone know what time zone this blog is set in? All I know is that it's 9hours behind UK GMT.
Pippa and AR, the blog is set for Pacific time, so the east coast should be three hours earlier, depending if daylight savings factors into that or not.
Hope that helps.
Phew, thanks Laurie! These time differences catch me out every time.
